The Queensland Government has committed to funding new schools in identified new and growing communities across the state.

A new state high school for Yarrabilba

  • A new state high school will open in Yarrabilba for Years 7 and 8 students in 2020.
  • A contract for the design and construction of the new school was awarded to Broad Construction in December 2018.

  • A new state high school in the fast-growing area of Coomera, will open for Year 7 students in 2020.
  • A construction contract for the new school was awarded to FK Gardner & Sons (FKG) in March 2019.
